Print actual size for a 14″ doll. To adjust the size of the doll, see these instructions.

Arms:
Sew around the perimeter of the arms, leaving the top open. Use an iron to make a crease between the notches (this is where the elbow joint will be sewn). Clip the curves of the hand and wrists.

Turn the arms right side out. If weighting, add weight to the fingers of the doll. Top with a small amount of stuffing and pin at the crease.

Sew the crease at the elbow- make sure the elbow is crease correctly. See the picture below.

Stuff the upper arm with a small amount of stuffing and set aside.

Legs:
Sew the upper portion of the foot.

Sew the foot to the leg, matching the notches.

Fold the leg wrong side out and complete the seam from the foot top to the top of the leg, as shown in the picture below. Use an iron to crease the leg at the notches. This will be the knee joint.

Clip the curves of the foot and turn right side out. If weighting, fill the foot with weighting material, then top with stuffing. Sew the knee joint. Stuff the upper leg and pin in place. Set aside.

The Body:

Sew the back, leaving the area between the notches open.

Place the front on the back with right sides facing and sew as shown in the picture below. Clip the curves and corners.

Assemble the body:

Place the legs in the body, bringing the feet through the opening in the back. Pin the crotch area and adjust the legs in their respective placements: toes to nose! (The toes of the doll should point toward the face of the doll) Pin the legs in place. Sew the legs into the body.

Turn the doll right side out. Place the arms in the armholes. Insert them so the thumb is pointing upward when the arm is in place. Bring them through the opening in the back and sew the arm shut.

Stuff the doll and weight as desired. Hand sew the back of the doll.
